Site Manager – Social Housing Planned Works (Permanent Role)

Location: South London & Kent

We are working with a Tier 1 contractor who are looking to grow their delivery team due to a very busy 2026 pipeline, with multiple social housing projects now being cleared through Gateway 2. As a result, they are seeking an experienced Site Manager on a permanent basis to deliver planned works across South London and Kent.

The role will involve managing a range of internal and external refurbishment projects, including kitchens, bathrooms, roofing, and cladding works, within occupied social housing properties.

Key Responsibilities
  • Day‑to‑day management of site operations on social housing planned works projects
  • Overseeing internal works (kitchens and bathrooms) and external works (roofing, cladding, associated repairs)
  • Managing subcontractors, direct labour, and suppliers
  • Ensuring works are delivered safely, on programme, and to required quality standards
  • Maintaining strong health & safety compliance across sites
  • Liaising professionally with residents, site teams, and project stakeholders
  • Completing site documentation, progress reports, and quality checks
Essential Requirements
  • Previous experience as a Site Manager within social housing planned works
  • Proven experience managing both internal and external refurbishment projects
  • SMSTS
  • CSCS (Site Management level)
  • First Aid at Work
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Strong organisational and communication skills
  • Experience working in occupied properties
