Overview

A respected refurbishment contractor is recruiting a Site Manager to deliver internal and external refurbishment projects across London and the surrounding areas. The role involves managing day-to-day site operations, health & safety, and subcontractor performance, often within occupied properties.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee daily site operations, trades, and subcontractors.
  • Ensure projects meet programme timelines, quality targets, and safety standards.
  • Maintain full compliance with health & safety regulations and RAMS.
  • Plan works, coordinate logistics, and manage materials.
  • Maintain site records and communicate progress to senior management.
  • Engage with residents, client representatives, and internal teams professionally.
  • Identify risks, delays, and resource needs proactively.
Required Experience
  • Experience as a Site Manager delivering refurbishment, social housing, or planned works projects.
  • Strong knowledge of health & safety legislation and site compliance.
  • Ability to manage works in occupied premises.
  • Competent reading drawings, specifications, and programme documents.
  • Must be based in (or able to commute to) Hertfordshire, West London, or North London.
Qualifications & Training
  • Full clean driving license.
  • DBS check required.
  • SMSTS qualification.
  • First Aid at Work.
