A recruitment agency is seeking an experienced Site Manager in Exeter to oversee the installation and modification of industrial refrigeration systems. The role involves managing site operations, coordinating subcontractors, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations. Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day site operations to maintain a safe, organised and professional working environment.
• Coordinate and direct subcontractors and internal personnel carrying out mechanical and electrical installation works.
• Ensure all site documentation is current and compliant, including RAMS, permits and Safe Systems of Work.
• Distribute and verify engineering drawings, specifications and layouts, ensuring all work is carried out to latest revisions.
• Liaise with main contractors and end users to plan works, monitor progress and maintain programme.
• Support pre-commissioning and commissioning activities of refrigeration, chiller and associated plant.

Job description

This position will suit a hands‑on engineer who has moved into site supervision or project delivery and enjoys leading works on site, coordinating contractors, and ensuring safe, compliant operations.
