Site Manager – Modular Building Contractor – Ashford, Kent

Our client is the UK’s leading Modular Building Contractor who designs and builds bespoke off‑site constructed modular buildings for a variety of different sectors including sport, leisure, education, healthcare, office and commercial operations, as well as site and welfare accommodation. With over 30 years in business, the company has a turnover of circa £150m and is now seeking to recruit multiple Site Managers across the UK for the last few months of 2025, with this 15‑bay project in Ashford starting on 27.10.25.

Job Role: Site Manager

Project Type: Modular

Location: Ashford, Kent

Pay Rate: £280 – £300 per day

Duration: 18 weeks

Payroll Model: Weekly

Key Responsibilities

• Induct sub‑contractors and site labour on a daily basis
• Manage and maintain the highest standards of safety
• Contribute to the value engineering and build‑ability of the project
• Marshal resources for overall control and execution of the works, including selection of sub‑contractors
• Ensure that key dates, resource requirements, production rates, overhead targets etc. are established, monitored and controlled
• Manage multi‑disciplinary teams
• Establish and maintain commercial and financial control systems, procedures and standards that meet contractual requirements

Experience and Qualifications

• Preferably experience within the construction industry, specifically on groundworks sections of projects or modular builds
• Experience as a Site Manager with a main contractor, modular building contractor or well‑known groundworks/civils contractor
• Good verbal and written communication skills, able to complete RAMS and possessing basic Microsoft Word and Excel experience
• Current CSCS Black card, or SMSTS certificate and first aid
• Ability to present a clean and tidy site and understand contractor requirements to achieve high scores
