An industry-leading contractor in the East Midlands is looking for a Site Manager to oversee a long-term groundworks and civils project based in Derby. The role involves reporting to the Project Manager, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, managing labor and materials, and providing progress reports. Candidates should have 8+ years of management experience in the field, hold necessary certifications like CSCS and SMSTS, and be ready for an immediate start. Competitive rates are negotiable.

Qualifications

• 8+ years management experience in groundworks and civils projects.
• Highly experienced with specialist contractors.
• Must hold required safety certifications.

Responsibilities

• Report and work alongside the Project Manager.
• Supervise site and ensure health and safety compliance.
• Keep site diaries for daily activities.
• Amend and work to RAMS documentation.
• Ensure quality assurance on site operations.
• Manage labor resources and oversee day-to-day work.
• Provide regular progress reports.
• Order materials and manage site operations.

We are currently recruiting a Site manager to join the company and assist in managing a long term groundworks and civils project based in Derby.

Site Manager Responsibilities

• Reporting and working alongside the Project Manager and Contracts Manager.
• Site Supervision and compliance with health and safety
• Keeping site diaries
• Ammending and working to RAMS
• Quality Assurance.
• Managing the labour and putting men to work.
• Providing progress reports
• Managing / ordering materials and overseeing site operations.

Site Manager Requirements

• CSCS
• SMSTS
• First aid
• NVQ Level 6 (ideally)
• Highly experienced in groundworks and civils projects for specialist contractors.
• 8+ years management experience
