Overview

Wates, has an exciting opportunity for a Site Manager to join our Planned Works team! You'll be working on one of our key contracts in the Crawley area, delivering high-quality social housing projects - including roofing, cavity wall insulation, and external decorations. Your mission? To ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, on budget, and to the highest standards.

Responsibilities
  • Planning and programming works, including short-term schedules
  • Managing operatives, subcontractors, and suppliers
  • Ensuring top-notch quality control and health & safety compliance
  • Attending pre- and post-inspections and advising on job requirements
  • Producing weekly site progress reports
  • Ensuring timely handover and invoicing to support smooth cash flow
Qualifications
  • SMSTS certification (essential)
  • Full UK Driving Licence
  • CSCS card (desirable)
  • Experience in social housing and planned maintenance
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Confident using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
