Job summary

AWI Civitas in Birmingham seeks experienced Site Managers to join our network for current and upcoming construction opportunities across the Midlands. This hands‑on, on‑site role requires you to manage day‑to‑day activities, coordinate subcontractors and site teams, and maintain safety standards.

You will ensure works are delivered to programme and quality, conduct site meetings, and liaise with Project Managers and clients to resolve issues and keep projects on track.

Qualifications

• Experience managing subcontractors and site teams.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of site delivery.

Responsibilities

• Take day-to-day responsibility for construction activities on site.
• Coordinate subcontractors, trades, suppliers and site resources.
• Monitor progress against the construction programme.
• Manage site activities to ensure work is delivered safely and efficiently.
• Ensure works comply with drawings, specifications and quality requirements.
• Maintain high standards of health, safety and environmental compliance.
• Conduct site meetings, briefings and toolbox talks where required.
• Identify and resolve site issues and delays.
• Coordinate deliveries, plant, materials and site logistics.
• Maintain accurate site records and documentation.
• Liaise with Project Managers, Contracts Managers, clients and other stakeholders.
• Support inspections, handovers and project completion.
