Job summary

A leading construction firm in Birmingham is seeking an experienced Site Manager to oversee and manage site activities. Candidates must have a degree in Civil Engineering and at least three years of relevant experience. The role requires intimate knowledge of MS Project, Excel, and AutoCAD, as well as strong leadership and communication skills. This is a full-time, on-site position where only local candidates with eligibility to work will be considered.

• Proficiency in Portuguese is an advantage.

Overview

Job Title: Site Manager | Location: Birmingham, UK | Work Regime: Full-time & On-site

We are looking for a Site Manager to join our team.

Responsibilities and Tasks

• Project analysis and the development of technical solutions;
• Preparation of manufacturing and assembly methodologies;
• Planning and controlling construction costs;
• Managing and monitoring assembly on site;
• Managing subcontractors;
• Managing on-site work with the client;
• Ensuring contractual fulfilment, project planning and quality;
• Temporary works coordination (advantage point);
• Producing and briefing documentation such as method statements, risk assessments, H&S and quality plans;
• Conducting regular inspections (safety, quality, ITP) and follow up on corrective actions;
• Leading by example, promoting best practices in safety, quality and environmental performance.

Requirements

• Degree or Master’s in Civil Engineering;
• At least 3 years' professional experience in a similar role;
• Knowledge of MS Project, Excel and AutoCAD;
• Proficiency in English;
• Proficiency in Portuguese (advantage point);
• Leadership and time management skills;
• Capacity for initiative and sense of responsibility;
• Organizational and planning skills;
• Communication and interpersonal skills.
