Job description

A special school requires a highly motivated and skilled Site / Estates / Maintenance Engineer committed to maintaining and improving the school environment for pupils, staff and visitors.

The position will work alongside the Site Manager ensuring a high level of maintenance of the buildings and site, including maintenance and operation of the swimming and hydro pools.

Working within the facilities team, the successful candidate will work across the two‑school site on a part‑time/permanent basis with the potential to increase to full‑time in future.

Working hours
  • Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday afternoons - 1pm to 6pm
  • Thursday, Friday - all day (split shift) 7.00am to 11.00am and 3pm to 6pm.
  • (Ideally this position would be one individual however two roles can be created for those interested in only working morning or afternoon shifts).

The ideal candidate will be resourceful, with a flexible and 'can-do' attitude and a willingness to be part of the school team relating well to pupils, staff and contractors alike.
