Job summary

Attwater is recruiting a Site Maintenance professional for its Preston site. The role covers upkeep of a busy manufacturing unit with a 38-hour week in a 07:00–15:30 Mon–Thu and 07:00–13:00 Fri pattern.

Salary is £28,000–£30,000 per annum. You will work under the Technical Director, undertaking building, groundworks, roofing, flooring, plumbing and liaison with suppliers to keep operations running smoothly.

Qualifications

• Strong experience in maintenance across building, grounds and basic trades.
• Good housekeeping, attention to health and safety guidelines.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Repair brick walls, groundworks, roofing and flooring across the site.

Site Maintenance | Preston, PR1 1UN | Full Time | £28,000-£30,000 per annum

Our client is a UK-based manufacturer and supplier of industrial laminates, composite materials and machined components.

They are focused on delivering a quality product portfolio, supported by great service, excellent response and, best of all, over 155 years' experience of getting it right.

The Role

As Site Maintenance, you will be responsible for the upkeep and maintenance of the whole site. The role is based at our client's Preston site, ensuring the day-to-day maintenance of a busy manufacturing unit.

Reporting directly to the Technical Director, the role will involve carrying out a range of building, groundworks and general maintenance tasks across the site.

Key Responsibilities

• Repair work to brick walls around the factory, including pointing, brick replacement and re-bedding work
• Groundworks around the factory
• Minor roofing and guttering repair work
• Repairs to and replacement of flooring, including timber, asphalt, tarmac and concrete
• Building internal structures, including timber stud walls
• Other general building maintenance tasks, including rendering, painting and plumbing
• Procuring materials as required to fulfil duties, as well as liaising with suppliers and local wholesalers
• Liaising with third-party contractors for work beyond the scope of the role
