Job summary

Balfour Beatty Group is seeking a Site Agent to lead construction activities at the Aberdeen project site. You will ensure safe systems of work, manage a section team, and drive performance against programme milestones on a major energy infrastructure initiative.

The role requires strong HSE knowledge, leadership skills, and the ability to coordinate with subcontractors while maintaining quality standards and project KPIs. A hands-on, proactive approach is essential for success on site.

Qualifications

• Clear communication of safe systems of work and improvement suggestions.
• Ownership of tasks and ability to lead a team to follow instructions.
• Flexibility to work unsociable hours when required by the programme.
• Self-motivation, initiative, and accountability for outcomes.
• Valid driving licence and CSCS card; SMSTS qualification.
• Strong teamwork, leadership, and report writing skills.
• Ability to decide using best available information and influence others.

Responsibilities

• Support sustainability activities and monitor team competency.
• Coach, train and performance-manage section staff as required.
• Ensure resource adequacy and maintain quality across works.
• Lead risk reviews, safety tours, and environmental compliance.
• Coordinate with subcontractors and monitor KPI achievement.
• Prepare and present progress reports at project meetings.
