Job description

CK Group are recruiting for a Site Lead on behalf of an industry leading manufacturer of Scientific instruments, to be based on one of their client sites in Slough, on a permanent basis.

About the role:

The successful candidate will take ownership of a key account, managing operations, shaping a high‑performing culture, and building strong partnerships with clients and teams.

Your responsibilities will include:
  • Lead a growing team of engineers and administrators to deliver outstanding service every day.
  • Build trusted relationships with clients, end users, and partners, becoming the go‑to person for collaboration and problem‑solving.
  • Ensure that services are delivered at the highest standard with compliance, safety, and client satisfaction always front of mind.
  • Identify opportunities to improve, innovate, and expand services and turn them into action.
  • Manage the site operations with clarity and accountability, making sure KPIs are met and that the service truly adds value to the client.
  • Ensure that all activities carried out on site are aligned to the MSA and SOWs, and that any scope creep is escalated to customer and account leadership.
  • Prepare and deliver presentations to clients, leadership, and internal stakeholders on service performance, KPIs, and operational initiatives.
About you:
  • Educated to degree level or above in a relevant Scientific or Technical field with demonstrated experience in a similar role.
  • Hands‑on experience in a laboratory or regulated environment, with knowledge of Pharma, Biotech, or Medical Device industries.
  • A background in planning, operations or engineering that helps bring structure and problem‑solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills and a confident presenter.
  • Experience in budget management and financial accountability.
  • Experience in managing and building a successful team as well as building trusted client relationships.
