Site Inspector - Fire Safety

A highly-regarded, multidisciplinary architectural, construction & design practice is looking for a Site Inspector (Fire Safety) to join its growing team based in its lovely offices in Farringdon, London.

The Site Inspector role

The successful Site Inspector is an integral member of the Building Safety team and of the wider Consultancy Division.

The role involves carrying out façade and internal fire safety investigations and fire risk assessments (FRAs) and preparing written technical reports with photographs.

Many of the projects are large buildings including high‑rise, and many include a requirement to inspect cladding.

Projects are mainly in or around London, with some in other areas of the UK.

Qualifications

The successful Site Inspector will have experience and knowledge of tall residential buildings.

You will also have experience of inspecting fire safety measures in new build and construction projects to high‑quality construction standards.

A good technical understanding of building regulations, NHBC standards, high‑rise, façades and combustible materials is essential to this role.

You’ll need to be qualified with a Level 6 construction qualification or hold an HNC/HND or construction‑related degree.

Membership to one of the following is preferred: CIOB, CABE, ICWCI, MIFireE.
