A leading facilities services company is seeking a site-based HVAC Engineer in Northamptonshire. This role focuses on supporting maintenance and compliance of site assets. You will manage maintenance work, oversee contractors, and contribute to operational improvements. Required qualifications include strong mechanical engineering competence, F-GAS certification, and health & safety certifications. Qualifications

• Strong mechanical engineering competence with experience of maintaining chiller plants.
• Hands-on experience with HVAC and refrigeration systems.
• F-GAS Certification is a must for this position.
• 18th Edition IET Wiring Regulations.
• Health & Safety qualifications (IOSH/CSCS).
• Familiarity with planned and reactive maintenance systems (CMMS).
• Experience in industrial manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and lead day-to-day planned and reactive maintenance work.
• Manage and oversee contractors delivering specialist services.
• Support plant and equipment improvements to enhance safety, efficiency, and performance.
• Maintain FGAS logbooks and ensure compliance with legislative and site regulations.
• Contribute to continuous improvement in maintenance practices, asset reliability, and operational efficiency.
• Participate in on-call duties and escalation processes as required.
• Support minor project works and capital improvement initiatives.
• Ensure Health, Safety, Quality, and Environmental standards are maintained at all times.

Mechanical engineering competence
