Job summary

Taylor Hopkinson is seeking an HSE professional to lead site-specific health, safety, and environment programs in Glasgow. The role focuses on developing and monitoring plans, conducting inspections, and driving continuous improvement in safety and environmental performance.

You will coordinate incident investigations, provide training, and ensure compliance with ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 across projects, liaising with management, contractors, and regulatory bodies.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and monitor site-specific HSE plans and procedures in accordance with national and international regulations, company policies, and client requirements.
• Conduct regular site inspections and audits to identify potential hazards, non-conformities, and areas for improvement, providing timely recommendations and corrective actions.
• Lead incident investigations, including root cause analysis, and ensure effective implementation of preventive measures to avoid recurrence.
• Provide HSE training and awareness programs to employees, contractors, and visitors, ensuring understanding and adherence to safety protocols.
• Prepare and maintain comprehensive HSE documentation, reports, and records, including incident reports, audit findings, and training logs.
• Act as the primary point of contact for all HSE-related matters on site, liaising with project management, contractors, and regulatory bodies.
• Monitor environmental performance, including waste management, emissions, and resource consumption, implementing strategies for continuous improvement.
• Participate in the development and review of risk assessments, method statements, and work permits to ensure all activities are conducted safely.
• Promote a proactive safety culture through communication, engagement, and recognition programs.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant legal requirements and industry standards (e.g., ISO 45001, ISO 14001).
