Job summary

Murphy is recruiting for a Site Engineer to work with the Energy Team on the SSE ASTI Framework in the United Kingdom. You will be setting out works, inspecting activities, and preparing survey data and as-built drawings while ensuring contract procedures and safety standards are met.

The ideal candidate holds a Civil Engineering degree, has prior engineering experience on construction or civil projects, and is proficient in surveying and setting out techniques.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering or similar is required.
• Experience as an engineer in construction or civil projects.
• Experience with surveying and setting out techniques.
• Strong understanding of quality, safety, health, environment and sustainability requirements.
• Previous engineer role experience is essential.

Responsibilities

• Accurate setting out of the works and dimensional control.
• Resolve technical problems at all levels on site.
• Carry out inspections in line with ITPs and schedules.
• Produce survey information and as-built red-lined drawings.
• Ensure equipment is calibrated and in date per policy and manufacturer requirements.
• Ensure site operations comply with contract requirements and procedures.
• Provide clear, accurate information to site personnel for duties.
• Supervise outputs and ensure environmental requirements are met.
• Ensure materials on site are suitable and properly stored.
• Assist Site Management with KPI updates, material reconciliation and progress reports.
