Job summary

Vanrath is seeking a Site Engineer to join a leading civil engineering contractor delivering water infrastructure projects across Northern Ireland. You will work with subcontractors, clients and internal teams to ensure high-quality delivery on-site.

The role requires a Civil Engineering degree, 2–5 years' experience, strong numeracy, and good communication skills. A driving licence and site cards are essential, with a company vehicle and ongoing career development on offer.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent qualification.
• Two to five years' experience in a similar Site Engineer role.
• Excellent numeracy skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook and Excel.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Valid site cards.
• Full driving licence.
• Team-focused with accountability for quality.
• Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret construction drawings, layouts and measurements.
• Set out works with precision using lines, levels and reference points.
• Help monitor site progress to meet programme deadlines.
• Liaise with clients, subcontractors and internal teams.
• Support delivery of quality, environmental, health and safety requirements on site.
• Promote and implement industry best practice.

About you
