Job summary

A leading defense contractor in the UK is seeking a Site Engineer to support civil works on a major energy infrastructure project. This role involves hands-on coordination, quality assurance, and technical support for safe and efficient construction activities. The ideal candidate will have a degree in Civil Engineering, experience on construction sites, and skills in setting out with GPS equipment. Strong communication and problem-solving abilities are essential. A CSCS card and UK driving license are required.

Qualifications

• Proven experience working on construction sites as a Site Engineer.
• Strong understanding of civil engineering principles, construction methods, and site processes.
• Familiarity with interpreting technical drawings and specifications.
• CSCS card and valid UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Support day‑to‑day site operations in line with the construction programme.
• Set out works, carry out surveys, and verify construction tolerances.
• Ensure works are executed in accordance with design and safety requirements.
• Liaise with subcontractors and the engineering team to resolve site issues.
• Maintain accurate records including as‑built data and inspection reports.
• Contribute to planning and report on technical and site activities.
• Uphold high standards of health and safety compliance.
