Job summary

INFORM3 Recruitment are recruiting for a Site Engineer on a £9m New Build School steel frame project near Belfast. The role requires a degree in Construction Management or Civil Engineering and at least 3 years working with a main contractor.

You will set out, supervise trades, coordinate with sub-contractors and ensure H&S compliance on site. Salary is negotiable, and the successful candidate will support the Project Manager and Senior Engineer to deliver works to the program and quality

Qualifications

• A Degree in Construction Management & Engineering, Civil Engineering or related discipline.
• 3+ years' experience with a Main Contractor.
• Ability to use setting out instruments and related survey techniques.

Responsibilities

• Perform checks on the quality of works completed to ensure high standards.
• Liaise with sub-contractors and site personnel to plan daily tasks.
• Supervise trades on site and act as main contact for subbies, architect and client.
• Ensure health & safety standards are met and adhered to on site.
• Assist Project Manager and Senior Engineer to complete works per programme.
• Maintain strong relationships with construction team and subcontractors.
• Set out and check works as required in line with drawings and regulations.

The Role

• Maintain excellent relationships with the construction management team, subcontractors and site personnel.
• Setting out and checking works as required for the project and ensuring all works are completed in line with project drawings specifications and building regulations.

Requirements

• A Degree in Construction Management & Engineering, Civil Engineering or related discipline.
• 3+ Experience with a Main Contractor
• Ability to use setting out instruments is essential and being competent in all aspects of set out, survey & level, temporary works co-ordination.
