  • Previous workshop or depot experience preferred.

We're looking for a practical and reliable Yard / Depot Engineer to join a busy engineering and rental team. This role involves preparing, servicing, and repairing diesel generators and equipment. You'll mainly work from the depot, but sometimes travel to sites when needed.

Main Duties:
  • Service, maintain and repair generators to a high standard.
  • Help keep the yard and equipment clean, safe, and well organised.
  • Load and unload equipment safely (forklift use - training can be provided).
  • Record and update details of work completed and generators returned to stock.
  • Assist with occasional on-site servicing or installations.
  • Join the on-call rota (after training), currently 1 week in 5.
  • Follow all company Health & Safety policies and procedures.
Skills & Experience:
  • Qualification or experience in Mechanical, Electrical, Diesel, or Plant Engineering.
  • Full UK driving licence (towing categories a bonus).
  • Forklift licence is helpful but not essential - training can be given.
  • Previous workshop or depot experience preferred.
  • Able to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexible and willing to support the team when needed.
