A leading engineering firm is seeking experienced Site Engineers to support the delivery of works on a major low-carbon infrastructure project in Wales. The ideal candidate will lead operations on site, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations while promoting a culture of teamwork and continuous improvement. Strong leadership and communication skills are essential, along with experience in civil engineering projects. The role also involves mentoring and developing less experienced team members.
We are seeking proactive and experienced Site Engineers to support the delivery of works on the Net Zero Teesside project-one of the UK's flagship low‑carbon infrastructure programmes. You will be responsible for leading and controlling resources within a specific area of the site, ensuring safe, efficient, and high‑quality delivery aligned with the project programme.
Liaise closely with the Project Manager to coordinate and control resources for a defined work area or smaller site section.
Lead, manage, and drive progress within your area of responsibility, ensuring all works follow the agreed Contract Programme.
Maintain strong commercial awareness, delivering works efficiently while protecting project value.
Ensure all activities are carried out in full compliance with health and safety requirements, safeguarding employees, subcontractors, and the public.
Take environmental considerations into account during planning and delivery of all site operations.
Support, guide, and help develop members of the Site Engineering team, contributing to training, mentoring, and capability building.
Promote a culture of teamwork, safety, and continuous improvement across your area of work.
Demonstrable experience supervising site operations on major civil engineering or infrastructure projects.
Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and direct site teams.
Good understanding of construction sequences, programme requirements, and resource coordination.
Knowledge of health, safety, environmental, and quality standards applicable to large infrastructure projects.
A positive and proactive attitude with the ability to work collaboratively and drive progress.
