Footprint Recruitment is working in partnership with a key client to recruit a Site Engineer for a refurbishment project located in Sheffield. This is a 34-week contract, and ideally, we are seeking candidates based locally or within a commutable distance.

Requirements:

• Previous experience on refurbishment or structural alteration projects
• Strong setting out and surveying skills
• Proficient with instruments (e.g. Total Station, AutoCAD)
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and ensure works are carried out accurately
• Strong understanding of site safety and quality standards
• SMSTS or SSSTS (preferred but not essential)

Responsibilities:

• Setting out for structural and groundworks including:
• Steel columns and beams
• Foundations
• Concrete slabs and upper floor concreting
• Coordinating with the Site Manager and subcontractors
• Monitoring and reporting on quality assurance and compliance
• Maintaining site records and drawings
• Assisting in the management of design information and technical queries
