Job summary

SER-IN is seeking an experienced Site Engineer to cover three live residential groundworks developments across Wirral and Manchester. The role focuses on housing groundwork activities, setting out, and consistent site administration from early September.

The position runs for approximately 8 weeks with potential for extension. Rate ranges from £320 to £350 per day, with CIS or Limited Company engagement. You’ll be working across Wirral plus two Manchester sites on diverse housing schemes.

Qualifications

• Solid experience as Site Engineer on residential/housing groundworks projects.
• Confident setting out independently and moving between live sites.
• Own kit advantageous but not essential.

• Drainage, infrastructure, foundations and plot works.

I’m looking for an experienced Site Engineer to join an established Civil Engineering & Groundworks Contractor, covering three live residential developments across the Wirral and Manchester.

This is a strong 8-week freelance run for an engineer who knows housing groundworks inside out and can hit the ground running from day one.

THE WORK:

• Housing groundworks
• Roads & sewers
• Drainage & infrastructure
• Foundations & plot works
• Kerbs, levels and externals
• Setting out and surveying
• QA, as-builts and site records
• Working closely with Site Managers and groundwork gangs

WHAT I NEED:

You MUST have solid experience working as a Site Engineer on residential/housing groundworks projects.

You’ll need to be confident setting out independently and comfortable moving between live sites as required.

Own kit would be advantageous, but not essential.

Rate: £320–£350 per day, depending on experience
CIS or Limited Company
Approximately 8 weeks initially
Wirral + 2 Manchester sites
Starting beginning of September
