Hextra Limited is recruiting a Site Engineer to support the senior project team in delivering the engineering strategy for the designated project. You will share expertise with junior staff, provide practical onsite experience, and assist in office-based work to strengthen project delivery.

You will manage materials, plant and labour within budget, ensure effective communication of systems and procedures, and lead audits and meetings to drive best practice and safety.

Qualifikationen

• Engineering degree and a relevant professional qualification are desirable.
• CSCS card is required or desirable for site access.
• Experience in construction or relevant support services sectors is expected.

As a result of our latest major framework win, we are now recruiting for a Site Engineer to join us as a member of the team. The site engineer will support the senior project team in the overall implementation of the engineering strategy and framework for the designated project. As a site engineer, you will also share your expertise and knowledge with less experienced team members to assist their development, by providing practical experience onsite and office-based work.

What you'll be doing

• Manage materials, plant and labour within the allocated budget and resources.
• Ensure all systems, design information, procedures and quality systems are effectively communicated.
• Lead or support assurance on projects through conducting audits and regular meetings with project teams, identifying best practice, areas for improvement and areas of concern, including matters relating to safety, finance or quality.
• Develop and maintain relationships with relevant customers including technical consultants and suppliers, managing their input into the design, development, pricing and delivery of technical solutions on site.
• Provide coaching and motivation to the project team, to deliver high performance on the project and create a culture of continuous improvement.
• Ensure the efficient operation of procurement, material control policies and procedures.
• Ensure customer requirements are clearly understood and that Quality Control mechanisms are in place.
• Seek to understand and implement the appropriate digital tool sets to support project execution.

Who we are looking for

• Previous engineering experience and a subject matter expert in the discipline of engineering.
• Up-to-date relevant knowledge of engineering and of industry best practice, appropriate to the relevant discipline.
• A degree in a relevant engineering discipline and a relevant professional qualification, such as MICE or MIStructE, or having an ONC/HNC is desirable.
• A valid CSCS card.
• Previous management experience within the construction or relevant support services industries, together with a strong understanding of technical issues and trends in the relevant sectors, including specialist markets is required.
