• Check drawings and ensure work is done according to specifications.
• Maintain site records and manage quality documentation.
• Collaborate with project teams to ensure safe and efficient delivery.

Job Overview

An exciting opportunity for an ambitious engineer to join a leading UK contractor delivering essential infrastructure projects across Devon. As Site Engineer, you will take ownership of the technical delivery of your section of works, ensuring high standards of quality, safety, and compliance across all site operations.

This is a great step up for a Graduate, Trainee, or Assistant Engineer ready to move into a key site engineering position.

Responsibilities

• Support the technical delivery of civil engineering projects within the water sector.
• Carry out setting out, levelling, and surveying using robotic total stations.
• Check drawings, quantities, and ensure work is completed in accordance with design specifications.
• Maintain accurate site records, manage quality documentation, and raise RFI/NCRs when required.
• Collaborate closely with project teams to maintain excellent communication and ensure safe, efficient delivery.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and promote a culture of safety and excellence.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Graduate, Trainee, or Site Engineer on civil engineering or utilities projects.
• CSCS Card
• A good understanding of construction health & safety protocols.
• Excellent communication skills.
• HND, HNC or Degree in Civil Engineering.
• Understanding of AutoCAD.
