Kenton Black are recruiting for a permanent Site Engineer vacancy in Tayside.

Our client, a leading civil engineering contractor, is seeking a motivated and detail‑oriented Site Engineer to join their dynamic team within the Tayside division. This is a key role with responsibility for delivering high‑quality engineering support on a range of infrastructure projects, offering the opportunity to contribute to the successful delivery of complex works across the region.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide engineering support across site operations, ensuring technical accuracy and compliance
  • Set out, survey, and manage site works in line with project specifications
  • Liaise with project managers, subcontractors, and clients to ensure smooth delivery of works
  • Monitor progress against programme and report on site performance
  • Ensure quality assurance and adherence to health, safety, and environmental standards
  • Assist with preparation of site documentation including risk assessments, method statements, and permits
  • Support junior engineers and site staff with technical guidance and mentoring
  • Contribute to problem‑solving and proactive management of site challenges
What You Bring
  • Degree or HNC/HND in Civil Engineering (or equivalent experience)
  • Proven experience as a Site Engineer within civil engineering or infrastructure projects
  • Strong knowledge of setting out, surveying, and construction processes
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and other relevant engineering software
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills with the ability to work collaboratively
  • A proactive approach to problem‑solving and delivering results
  • Full UK driving licence and flexibility to travel within the Tayside region
