Job Title: Civils Engineer – Data Centre Projects (Europe)
About the Company

A fast-growing, multidisciplinary construction contractor with a turnover of approximately £50–£70 million per year, delivering large-scale infrastructure projects across the UK and Europe.

Founded in 2013, the company has built a strong reputation for excellence in reinforced concrete (RC) frame construction, groundworks, and civil engineering, successfully completing complex and high-value builds ranging from £30 million to £105 million.

The business has an established presence in Belgium, the Netherlands, and Austria, delivering major data centre and industrial infrastructure projects for leading international clients. Role: Civils Engineer – Data Centre Projects

Location: Belgium, the Netherlands, or Austria
Rotation: Monthly rotation (flights and accommodation provided)
Contract Type: Permanent Employment

Eligibility: Must hold an EU passport or valid EU work visa

Pay: €70k - €90k Dependent on Experience

Key Responsibilities
  • Support and manage the civil engineering elements of major data centre projects, with values ranging from £30 million to £105 million.

  • Supervise and coordinate RC frame and groundworks operations including foundations, slabs, drainage, service trenches, retaining walls, and structural concrete elements.

  • Review and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and plans; ensure accurate implementation on site.

  • Use CAD software to produce, amend, and review civil and structural drawings as required.

  • Liaise with the project management team, site engineers, subcontractors, and quality teams to maintain technical accuracy and programme delivery.

  • Conduct site inspections to ensure works comply with design, safety, and quality standards.

  • Assist in preparing method statements, risk assessments, and technical documentation.

  • Monitor materials, resources, and subcontractor progress to support timely project delivery.

  • Report engineering progress, challenges, and technical issues to the Project Engineer / Site Manager.

  • Promote a culture of health, safety, and environmental excellence across all site operations.

Qualifications & Experience
  • Degree or diploma in Civil Engineering or Construction Management (or equivalent).

  • Minimum of 3–5 years’ experience working on major civil or structural projects (preferably RC frame and groundworks).

  • Proven track record on data centre, commercial, or industrial projects of £30M+ value.

  • Proficient in AutoCAD (or similar design software) and comfortable reviewing drawings and layouts.

  • Excellent understanding of reinforced concrete, earthworks, and drainage principles.

  • Familiar with European construction standards, health & safety regulations, and quality management systems.

  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively on fast-paced international projects.

  • Flexibility to travel and work on a rotational basis within Europe.
