Job summary

A leading civil engineering contractor in Bristol is seeking an experienced Site Engineer for a contract role on a water treatment project. The successful candidate will manage engineering duties, maintain quality control, and ensure compliance with specifications. Strong experience in civil engineering and proficiency with setting out equipment are essential. The contract is expected to last 8 months and offers the opportunity to work on a key infrastructure project.

Overview

We are currently seeking an experienced Site Engineer to join a leading civil engineering contractor on a water treatment project in Bristol. This is a contract role with an expected duration of 8 months.

Responsibilities

• Setting out, surveying, and dimensional control for site works
• Managing day-to-day engineering duties on site
• Maintaining quality control procedures and ensuring compliance with project specifications
• Producing as-built surveys and records
• Liaising with the project team, subcontractors, and client representatives
• Supporting Health & Safety best practice on site

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Site Engineer within civil engineering projects (water treatment or utilities experience desirable)
• Proficiency with setting out equipment (e.g., Leica/Trimble)
• Strong understanding of quality management systems and site documentation
• CSCS card essential
• SMSTS/SSSTS and First Aid (preferred)
