Job summary

EKFB is recruiting a Site Engineer to join the Earthworks team on-site in Southam, supporting on civil engineering works for the HS2 project. The role involves setting-out, coordinating labour, plant and materials, and supervising junior engineers while resolving technical issues in liaison with senior staff.

You will contribute to programmes, progress reports and cost forecasting, ensuring work meets standards and schedules.

Qualifications

• CSCS card (White/White-Yellow/Red - Experienced, Black - Manager or Gold - Supervisor)
• Demonstration of Site Engineering activities and construction supervision
• Experience in earthworks is essential
• Driving licence and access to a vehicle required

Site Engineer

EKFB is proud to have been appointed by HS2 to deliver civil engineering works across an 80km section of the new high speed rail link between the Chiltern Tunnel and Long Itchington Wood.

We're looking to recruit a Site Engineer to join our Earthworks team based in Southam.

The Site Engineer is responsible on site for other junior engineers and assists in the construction operations in the Southam area.

You will be required to liaise with the Sub Agent and Section Foreman to allocate labour, plant and materials to carry out works activities to the required standards, programme and budget.

You will be responsible for work with the other team members of the setting-out team and be responsible for the performance and development of the junior engineers and also for identifying and resolving technical problems on site in liaison with the senior team and Sub-Agent. Monitoring and coordinating subcontractors in the performance of their works, ensuring they are completed to the contractual requirements.

Ensuring that the team have all current information and resources required to carry out their duties, you will be required to assist with the production of programmes, progress reports, resource and cost plans and contribute to financial forecasting.

About the Candidate

- You must hold a CSCS - White, White-Yellow, Red - Experienced, Black - Manager or Gold - Supervisor

- Demonstration of knowledge and practical application of Site Engineering activities combined with construction supervision skills.

- Experience in earthworks is essential for this position

- You must hold a driving license and have access to a vehicle
