Job summary

A leading contractor in the Steel frame and Groundworks sector is seeking a Site Engineer for a 10-month contract in Bedford. The role involves managing engineering tasks, ensuring site set-up compliance with health and safety, and completing all necessary settings associated with ground works and steel frame aspects. Candidates must have a CSCS card and experience in setting out ground works and drainage. A degree in Civil Engineering is preferred, and SMSTS or SSSTS certification is desirable.

Qualifications

• CSCS card is required.
• Previous experience setting out ground works and drainage is needed.
• SMSTS or SSSTS certification is desirable but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Manage engineering tasks including the setting out of ground works and steel frame.
• Work closely with the Project Manager and foreman.
• Raise technical queries on design issues.
