Job summary

Solutions Driven is supporting a long-established specialist manufacturer to appoint a Site Director for its North West manufacturing site. Reporting to the European Director of Operations, you will be accountable for the site’s overall performance including health and safety, quality, delivery, cost and people. You will lead production, engineering, quality, supply chain, technical and support functions and set clear KPIs while driving continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Senior site leadership experience at a manufacturing site with 100+ people.
• Background in chemicals, plastics, coatings or continuous process.
• Safety leadership in demanding manufacturing environment.
• Structured Lean Six Sigma approach.
• Hands-on leadership on the shop floor and ability to drive change.

Solutions Driven is supporting a long-established specialist manufacturer, part of a listed international group, to appoint a Site Director for its North West manufacturing site.

The opportunity

The site employs over 100 people in a 24/7 continuous process operation and is part way through a significant investment in new process technology. This is a key appointment. You will take full ownership of the site and lead it into its next phase, making sure the investment delivers.

The role

Reporting to the European Director of Operations, you will be accountable for the site’s overall performance: health and safety, quality, delivery, cost and people. You will lead production, engineering, quality, supply chain, technical and support functions. You’ll set clear priorities and KPIs, drive structured continuous improvement, and represent the site within the wider international group.

About you

• Senior site leadership experience, ideally leading a manufacturing site or multi-functional operation of 100+ people
• A background in chemicals, plastics, coatings or another continuous process environment
• A safety-first mindset, with proven health and safety leadership in a demanding manufacturing environment
• A structured approach to continuous improvement (Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or equivalent valued)
• A visible, hands on leadership style, spending time on the shop floor and bringing people with you through change
• Experience working within an international, multi-site group would be an advantage
