Job summary

Taylor Hopkinson Limited is seeking a Site Design Coordinator for a major civil/infrastructure project in the Midlands region. You will coordinate design activities between subcontractors, consultants and construction stakeholders, ensuring constructible, compliant designs delivered to programme and budget.

The role requires a Civil/Structural Engineering or related degree and proven major infrastructure experience on large scale civil packages.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Architecture or similar.
• Strong design coordination experience within industrial, infrastructure, energy or major construction projects.
• Good understanding of civil/structural interfaces, constructability and design risk.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate civil design deliverables alongside the Lead Civil Engineer.
• Manage design interfaces between subcontractors, consultants and multidisciplinary engineering teams.
• Ensure designs meet contractual, programme, budget, HSE and quality requirements.
• Review design submissions for constructability, technical compliance and risk.
• Monitor design schedules, deliverables and progress against programme.
• Identify and help resolve design clashes, technical issues and interface risks.
• Represent the civil design function in project and coordination meetings.
• Maintain effective communication between engineering, construction and project stakeholders.

Site Design Coordinator Opportunity

We are looking for an experienced Site Design Coordinator to support the delivery of a major Energy Recovery infrastructure project in Walsall.

Working on a £40m+ civil works package, you will coordinate design activities between subcontractors, consultants, engineering teams and construction stakeholders, ensuring designs are technically compliant, constructible and delivered in line with programme, budget, HSE and quality requirements.

Site Design Coordinator Responsibilities

• Coordinate civil design deliverables alongside the Lead Civil Engineer.
• Manage design interfaces between subcontractors, consultants and multidisciplinary engineering teams.
• Ensure designs meet contractual, programme, budget, HSE and quality requirements.
• Review design submissions for constructability, technical compliance and risk.

Site Design Coordinator Background :

• Degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Architecture or similar.
• Proven construction or major infrastructure experience.
• Experience working on large-scale civil packages of circa £40m+.
• Background with a Tier 1 or major contractor delivering complex civil works.
• Strong design coordination experience within industrial, infrastructure, energy or major construction projects.
• Good understanding of civil/structural interfaces, constructability and design risk.
• Strong organisational, communication and stakeholder-management skills.
• Able to coordinate multiple design packages and priorities within a fast-paced project.

• £60,000 - Perm / £450-£500p/d Temp
