Job description

We have an exciting opportunity for a Site Administrator to join our Oxford development and play a key role in supporting the successful delivery of a major construction project. The role offers a fixed term contract until October 2028.

This is far more than a traditional administration role. You'll be the hub of the site office, ensuring everything runs smoothly, efficiently, and professionally. Working within a fast-paced live construction environment, you'll support the site team by managing essential administrative processes, maintaining accurate records, coordinating visitors, and helping to create a welcoming and well-organised workplace.

No two days are the same, and you'll thrive on variety, taking pride in delivering high-quality administrative support while ensuring procedures are followed and information is always up to date.

What you’ll be doing:

As the Site Administrator, you'll be the first point of contact for visitors, contractors and colleagues, ensuring everyone receives a professional and friendly welcome. You'll play a vital role in keeping the site running smoothly by managing day-to-day administration, maintaining accurate project records and documentation, coordinating office supplies, and ensuring key information is always up to date and easily accessible. You'll support meetings by preparing and distributing clear, concise minutes, maintain subcontractor databases, and work closely with the wider site team to provide administrative support as the development progresses. Working in a busy live construction environment, you'll follow established processes and procedures to ensure compliance, consistency, and efficiency across the project while helping to keep the site office organised and running effectively.

What we're looking for

We're looking for someone who is naturally organised, proactive and enjoys working in a busy environment. You'll be the type of person who spots what needs doing and gets on with it, while remaining calm and efficient when juggling multiple priorities.

You'll have:

  • Previous administration experience in a busy office environment.
  • Excellent organisational skills and strong attention to detail.
  • Confidence using Microsoft Office and other business systems.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with a range of people.
  • A structured approach and an appreciation for following processes and procedures.
  • A positive, "get up and go" attitude with a willingness to support the wider team wherever needed.

Experience within construction, document control, or working on a live site would be advantageous, but just as important is your enthusiasm, reliability, and desire to be part of a successful project team.
