Job summary

P+S Personnel Rail is seeking a Construction Quality Manager/Engineer for a Cambridgeshire site. You will work with the Project Manager and Site Manager to ensure materials, processes and outputs meet required standards and regulations.

You will conduct inspections, oversee quality testing, review submittals, manage NCRs, and coordinate with subcontractors to resolve quality or material issues on site.

Qualifications

• Quality Management Plan development and maintenance
• Daily jobsite inspections and audits
• Review and approve submittals for specifications
• Manage NCRs, root-cause investigations, and corrective actions
• Collaborate with PMs, engineers, subcontractors, and vendors to meet quality expectations
• Verify materials meet specs and manage calibration of testing equipment

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain the project Quality Management Plan (QMP) aligned with standards.
• Perform preparatory, initial, and follow-up inspections for definable features of work.
• Review, track, and approve submittals for compliance with specifications.
• Manage NCRs, conduct root-cause investigations, verify corrective actions, and close out issues.
• Lead weekly QC meetings and coordinate with project managers and site teams.
• Verify materials meet approved submittals and ensure proper storage, handling and installation.
