Job summary

Bodycote is seeking a Site Based Maintenance Engineer in Chard. You will ensure reliability, maintainability, and safety of site equipment and infrastructure, taking ownership of planned and reactive maintenance, project support, and cross-site responses.

The role requires electrical qualifications with mechanical aptitude, strong problem-solving, and experience coordinating maintenance and contractors. Excellent communication and teamwork are essential.

The Role

As a Site Based Maintenance Engineer, you’ll ensure the reliability, maintainability, and safety of site equipment and infrastructure. You’ll take ownership of both planned and reactive maintenance, project support, and flexible response to equipment issues across multiple sites, ensuring operational efficiency and compliance with health and safety standards. Your work will directly impact the performance, safety, and availability of the organisation’s facilities and equipment.

Location & Work Pattern

This role is based in Chard with onsite expectations. Shift work is required 6am-2pm, 2pm-10pm
