Job description

This is a great opportunity to join a family-run Tier One civil engineering contractor. The company offers a non-bureaucratic working environment along with the chance to work on larger, more complex, and prestigious civil engineering projects.

As a Site Agent, you will be working on a major infrastructure-led regeneration project located in central York. The project involves extensive coordination with multiple third parties, including Network Rail.

In this role, you will be responsible for leading all planning and construction delivery of several bridges and reinforced earth structures. This is a highly technical package of works that will include tandem lifts over live rail.

You will be:

1. Developing the construction programme and monitoring weekly targets.
2. Managing the relationship with sub-contractors.
3. Owning HSEQS protocols on site.
4. Maintaining quality control procedures.
5. Ensuring that the TWR is in place and up to date.
6. Monitoring onsite energy and waste data.
7. Managing change and any events that could impact effective delivery.
8. Driving and motivating your team to meet the project pace.
9. Coordinating and prioritising the sequence of activities on site.

To be successful in this role, you will:

1. Hold a relevant qualification in Civil Engineering (HNC, HND, or Degree).
2. Have significant site-based experience on civil engineering projects.
3. Have experience working with Network Rail protocols.
