Job summary

Millbank Holdings Ltd in North Wales is seeking an experienced Site Agent - Building & Fit-Out to lead day-to-day site operations on the Snowdonia VIP project, overseeing two specialist headhouses from construction through completion.

You will manage subcontractors, programmes and site teams to deliver safe, on‑time, within-budget works to the required quality standards, with a focus on coordination across design interfaces and site safety.

Qualifications

• HNC/HND or Degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Proven experience as Site Agent or similar role on major projects.
• Experience delivering building/structural or civil works on major construction projects.
• Strong subcontractor management and programme planning.
• Knowledge of HSE, CDM regulations and quality assurance.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage day-to-day construction and fit-out activities.
• Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers and site teams to achieve milestones.
• Manage construction programmes, resources, productivity and quality standards.
• Monitor progress, identify risks and implement corrective actions.
• Support subcontract procurement, cost control, variations and forecasting.
• Coordinate with project teams, designers and stakeholders to manage interfaces.
• Review designs and working methods for improvements and efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental and quality requirements, including CDM.
• Maintain accurate site records, progress reports and handover documentation.
• Lead and support site personnel, promoting a collaborative and safety-focused environment.

Location: Minffordd, Gwynedd, North Wales

Salary: £65,000-£75,000 per annum

Car Allowance: £5,750 per annum

Working Hours: 40 hours per week

Project Duration: December 2028

The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Site Agent - Building & Fit-Out to join a major infrastructure project in North Wales, overseeing the construction and delivery of two specialist headhouses as part of the Snowdonia VIP project.

The headhouses will play a vital role in the completed scheme, housing the key control infrastructure for the power cables. Positioned above the underground tunnel shafts, these specialist structures will provide the essential connection between the extensive underground cable infrastructure and the surface, supporting the long‑term operation of this major energy project.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced construction professional to take a leading role in delivering technically significant structures, managing site operations and coordinating subcontractors to ensure works are completed safely, on programme, within budget and to the required quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

Essential Requirements

• HNC, HND or Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or a closely related technical discipline.
• Proven experience as a Site Agent, Agent or in a similar construction management role.
• Experience delivering building, structural or civil engineering works on major construction or infrastructure projects.
• Strong subcontractor management, programme planning and site coordination skills.
• Understanding of commercial management, cost control and quality assurance.
• Good knowledge of health, safety and environmental legislation.
• Valid CSCS card appropriate to the role.
• Strong leadership, communication and problem-solving skills.
• Experience in major infrastructure, energy, utilities or projects involving complex structures and underground construction interfaces would be advantageous.
