We're looking for an experienced and proactive Site Agent to lead civil engineering projects safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest standards. You will oversee both direct and indirect teams, manage resources efficiently, and work closely with clients, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure smooth project delivery. Success in this role will be measured by project delivery, cost control, safety performance, team competency, and customer satisfaction.

Here are some of the activities you will be involved in
  • Lead all civil engineering site activities, managing operatives and sub-contractors to deliver safely, efficiently, and to quality standards
  • Oversee budgets, resources, and programme to achieve project objectives and maximise project profit
  • Manage site administration, including risk assessments, method statements, work package plans, and reporting
  • Ensure compliance with CDM regulations, environmental management plans, and quality plans
  • Promote health, safety, quality, environmental, and mental wellbeing leadership on site
  • Build strong client relationships and deliver exceptional customer service
  • Encourage innovation, value engineering, and continuous improvement
  • Coach, mentor, and develop your team to maintain high performance and competency compliance
We would love to hear from you if:

You have substantial experience managing civil engineering projects, ideally including infrastructure, highways, utilities, earthworks, or structures, with responsibility for project profit and loss. You'll be technically confident, with strong knowledge of civil engineering practices, CDM regulations, temporary works, and waste management. Experience delivering projects under NEC3/4 or similar contracts is highly desirable.

You'll be a strong leader, capable of motivating, coaching, and developing your team while maintaining excellent communication with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams. A degree in Civil Engineering (or equivalent experience), SMSTS and IOSH qualifications are essential. Chartered status, NRSWA Supervisor, or Temporary Works qualifications are desirable. A full UK driving licence and right to work in the UK are required.
