Job summary

A leading civil engineering contractor is seeking an experienced Site Agent for a major heavy civils project in Exeter. The role involves managing daily site operations and leading site teams to ensure timely and safe project completion. Candidates must have relevant experience in heavy civil engineering and possess a Civil Engineering degree or equivalent. This role is offered Outside IR35 with an immediate start and a competitive daily rate.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Site Agent on heavy civil engineering or infrastructure projects.
• Strong technical understanding of earthworks, drainage, and reinforced concrete structures.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Managing daily site operations, ensuring works are completed safely, on time, and to specification.
• Overseeing site teams, engineers, and subcontractors.
• Reviewing drawings and specifications to ensure accurate delivery of works.
• Monitoring progress, cost, and quality performance.
• Producing reports, method statements, and risk assessments.
• Liaising closely with clients, project managers, and design teams.

This is an excellent opportunity to take a leading role on a complex infrastructure scheme with a well-established civil engineering contractor. The position is offered Outside IR35 and is available for an immediate start.

Requirements

Contract Details

• IR35 Status: Outside IR35
• Duration: 12 months (potential extension)
• Rate: £450 - £520 per day (DOE)
