Job summary

A construction company is seeking an experienced Site Agent to oversee a major SCL Tunnel project in Dartford. This long-term, outside IR35 contract offers a competitive day rate and secure workload. Key responsibilities include managing tunnelling works, leading teams, and ensuring health and safety compliance. The ideal candidate will have proven experience in tunnelling, strong knowledge of sprayed concrete lining, and must possess SMSTS and CSCS certifications. An immediate start is required.

Job description

We are currently seeking an experienced Site Agent to lead delivery on a major SCL (Sprayed Concrete Lining) Tunnel project in Dartford. This is a long-term contract opportunity, outside IR35, with an immediate start.

Key Responsibilities

• Overall management and delivery of SCL tunnelling works
• Leading site teams, engineers, and subcontractors
• Planning and coordinating daily tunnelling activities
• Managing health, safety, quality, and environmental compliance
• Reviewing and approving RAMS, ITPs, and permits
• Liaising with the client, designers, and senior project management
• Monitoring programme, progress, and site performance

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Site Agent on tunnelling or underground works
• Strong background in SCL / sprayed concrete lining
• Excellent knowledge of temporary works and tunnelling methodology
• SMSTS (essential)
• CSCS card (essential)
• First Aid (preferred)
• Ability to start immediately
