We are now seeking a Sister/Charge Nurse to join our growing Cardiology Ward.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a highly motivated senior nurse looking to take the next step in their leadership journey in a specialist cardiology environment.
As Sister/Charge Nurse in our Cardiology Department, you will play a pivotal role in leading a team of dedicated nurses and healthcare professionals, ensuring the highest standards of clinical care for our cardiac patients. You will be responsible for the smooth day‑to‑day running of the ward, coordinating patient care, and supporting safe, timely admissions and discharges.
You will act as a role model to staff, offering guidance, mentorship, and support to ensure continuous professional development across the team. Working closely with consultants, senior nursing colleagues, and the wider multidisciplinary team, you will foster a collaborative and inclusive environment that prioritises safety, dignity, and compassion.
In this leadership role, you will take ownership of ward management in the absence of the Matron or Head of Department, while also driving initiatives in clinical governance, quality improvement, and infection control compliance. This is a dynamic, fast‑paced environment where your clinical expertise and decision‑making skills will be essential to delivering exceptional outcomes for our patients.
