Job summary

Punter Southall Group is seeking an experienced Team Leader to manage an SSAS and SIPP administration team in the UK. You will oversee bespoke administration, support clients and advisers, and drive efficient, high-quality service.

You will line-manage administrators, contribute to process improvements, and provide technical guidance on HMRC/FCA permitted investments, with a focus on accuracy and compliance across the lifecycle of pension plans.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience of administration within the SIPP and SSAS industry.
• Previous line management/leadership experience is advantageous.
• Experience in an independent trustee environment is an advantage.
• Microsoft Office Suite experience including Excel, Word and Outlook to a high standard plus Nitro and Adobe.

Responsibilities

• Assist the team in delivering quality and efficient service to all clients when processing new business and ongoing servicing.
• Input client data into Platinum at plan setup and maintain data throughout the lifecycle.
• Set up designated bank accounts with Bank of Scotland via iSite.
• Accurately crystallise pensions and process lump sums and/or income payments.
• Apply correct tax codes to income payments.
• Ensure Lifetime Allowance is correctly applied for crystallisations or retrospectively.
• Report and arrange settlement of Lifetime Allowance charges via HMRC online services.
• Create contributions in Platinum and issue Contribution Payment Certificates when cleared.
• Process transfers in from defined benefit and money purchase schemes; apply in-specie transfers.
• Process cash and in-specie transfers out with checks on receiving schemes.
• Purchase/sell assets within the firm’s permitted investments and within timeframes.
• Create payments using Bank of Scotland’s iSite and Corporate Online systems.
• Provide technical support on HMRC and FCA permitted investments.
• Undertake annual appraisals, KPIs, one-to-ones and performance management.
