Job summary

Beccy Hurrell Voice & Arts Limited in Kettering is seeking a passionate Singing & Music Tutor. You will deliver 1:1 singing lessons and lead group sessions, adapting to learners and supporting progression through RSL Level 2 qualifications.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver 1:1 singing lessons to a range of ages and abilities.
  • Lead or support group sessions (e.g., Sing Squad, choirs).
  • Support learners through RSL Level 2 Music qualifications.
  • Deliver 1:1 music lessons, including beginner piano where appropriate.
  • Plan structured, engaging, responsive sessions.
  • Adapt teaching for different learning styles and needs.
  • Use music technology such as DAWs, MIDI keyboards and recording tools.

At BHVA, we build sessions around the person in front of us. We're looking for an experience, adaptable and people-focused Singing & Music Tutor to help learners grow in confidence, skill and creativity.

Why This Role Matters

Music can unlock confidence, communication and progress.

This role goes beyond teaching technique. You'll help children, young people and adults develop skills, believe in themselves and move forward through music.

You'll teach with quality, care and flexibility - adapting sessions to the learner in the front of you.

What You'll Be Doing

Delivering 1:1 singing lessons to a range of ages and abilities

Leading or supporting group sessions such as Sing Squad, choirs and community provision

Supporting learners through RSL Level 2 Music qualifications

Delivering 1:1 music lessons, including beginner piano where appropriate

Planning structured, engaging and responsive sessions

Adapting teaching for different learning styles and additional needs

Using music technology such as DAWs, MIDI keyboards and recording tools where appropriate

Monitoring learner progress and communicating updates where needed

Supporting the creation of teaching resources and content

Maintaining a safe, inclusive and professional learning environment

Following BHVA safeguarding, health & safety and data protection procedures

Providing session cover across BHVA programmes where needed
