Job description
Simulation Technician

We are currently seeking a full time Skills Support Technician to work within the Health Skills team, you are required to work across our 2 campuses (City, Walsall).

The team supports Nursing, Midwifery and Paramadicine skills areas, ensuring they are stocked, equipment is in good working order and that they are correctly set up for each session. General maintenance of equipment, inventory and ordering of stock and timetabling are all essential features of the post.

You will be educated to a minimum of degree level, or equivalent and possess the ability to organise and prioritise your own workload. You will work collaboratively with people at all levels within the Faculty and the University, working on your own initiative. Practical experience of working in a health environment, or similar support role, is essential.

You are required to work flexibly to provide technical support to Faculty laboratory facilities across our Campuses. This will also include some weekend and evening work, including support for Open Days.

Moving and handling activities are an essential requirement of this post. You will be expected to undertake first aid and Automated External Defibrillator (AED) training and assume a first aid role within the Faculty.
