Job summary

Awerian is seeking a Simulation and Modelling Engineer near Cambridge to model and analyse complex systems using MATLAB/Simulink, building mathematical models and test benches.

You will collaborate with elite scientists and engineers to tackle challenging problems, expanding skills in model-based systems engineering, hardware-in-the-loop, and radar signal processing, in a modern on-site facility.

Qualifications

• Proficient in MATLAB/Simulink modelling and analysis of complex systems.
• Experience building physics-based models of system interactions.
• Familiarity with system architecture, test benches and code review.

Your work will have a real-world impact. As a Simulation and Modelling Engineer, you will be modelling and analysing complex systems and the interaction between them using MATLAB / Simulink based tools. You will draw on your problem solving and engineering skills to build and develop mathematical models of complex systems.

You may have an academic background in Electronics, Physics or Mathematics and will have industry experience. Defence experience is an advantage, but we will consider candidates from all sectors.

Your problem-solving skills will be enhanced as you tackle complex engineering challenges that test your deep understanding of engineering fundamentals and physical principles. You will also have many opportunities to expand your skillset into different areas, based on what interests you.

You Will Have Experience In

• Model-based systems engineering
• Developing Physics based models of systems and the interactions between them
• System architecture, engineering principles and processes
• Test bench development
• Code revision and review

Desirable

• Experience with hardware-in-the-loop

We operate as an onsite business and our team of Consultants are based at our award-winning facility close to Cambridge, 5 days a week.
