Job description

We're looking for a Simulation Consultant to deliver simulation projects that help our clients improve performance, reduce risk, and make better-informed operational and investment decisions. You'll combine strong technical modelling expertise with consulting and project delivery skills to turn complex business challenges into practical, data-driven solutions.

Working with a high degree of autonomy, you'll take ownership of standard simulation projects from initial requirements gathering through to analysis and final recommendations. You'll apply established simulation methodologies and best practice while working closely with clients to understand their challenges and deliver meaningful outcomes.

For larger and more complex engagements, you'll work alongside senior consultants and contribute to multidisciplinary project teams, gaining exposure to a variety of industries, challenges, and simulation applications.

If you're looking for a role where you can combine technical problem-solving with client consultancy, take ownership of projects, and develop your expertise in simulation and digital modelling, this is an excellent opportunity to make a tangible impact for our clients.

Through our 50 year history, ITI Group has combined the skills, experience, and knowledge of many recognised and respected industry names to become a leading partner for industry. We develop and integrate digital transformation solutions for Energy, Nuclear and Industrial manufacturing sectors. We advance safe, secure and sustainable operations through the innovative use of technology.

You will:

  • Successfully identify and complete all relevant training, both internal and external, maintaining and developing simulation, consultancy and project delivery competencies.
  • Lead the delivery of standard simulation consulting projects from initiation through to completion. Develop project plans, manage activities against agreed budgets and schedules, coordinate project tasks, monitor risks and assumptions, and communicate progress effectively to stakeholders. Escalate issues appropriately where additional support is required.
  • Facilitate client workshops and requirements-gathering activities to define project scope, objectives, assumptions, data requirements and success criteria. Develop conceptual models and solution designs that accurately reflect client operations and business questions.
  • Design, build, verify and document discrete event simulation models to an agreed specification. Collect, analyse and structure client data, implement appropriate logic and distributions, conduct experimentation, and interpret results to generate robust recommendations.
  • Plan and execute verification and validation activities throughout the project lifecycle. Ensure simulation models are credible, robust, traceable and fit for purpose, whilst maintaining appropriate documentation and quality standards.
  • Act as the primary day-to-day client contact on standard engagements. Maintain professional client relationships through regular communication, managing expectations, presenting findings, and ensuring alignment throughout project delivery.
  • Support Account Managers and senior colleagues with technical discussions, demonstrations, proposals, estimates, proof-of-concept activities and bid responses. Contribute to developing simulation opportunities with both existing and prospective clients.
  • Deliver standard simulation software and simulation methodology training courses. Contribute to case studies, internal process improvements, reusable modelling assets, and knowledge-sharing initiatives that strengthen team capability.
  • Follow all health and safety regulations, procedures and protocols.
  • Assist with any other duties reasonably requested and in line with the requirements of the post.
