Job summary

NBCUniversal in the United Kingdom is seeking a skilled project manager to bring the creative vision of Universal United Kingdom Resort to life. You will take project graphics and signage from design through fabrication, integration and final installation, coordinating with designers, vendors and construction partners to ensure high standards in a live environment.

Job Description

Play a key role in bringing the creative vision of Universal United Kingdom Resort to life. You’ll be responsible for taking project graphics and signage from design through to fabrication, integration and final installation, working closely with project teams, designers, vendors and construction partners. You’ll use your understanding of fabrication methods and implementation to ensure signage and graphics are delivered to a high standard across both the construction environment and the future theme park. This is an exciting opportunity to help shape the look and feel of a major new destination from the ground up.

• Produces Contracts and manages progress from design through installation.
• Interface with architects and engineers to meet the project requirements.
• Manage the third party design effort of all signage, building signs, and construction graphics needed for each area.
• Supervises/handles the installation to ensure compliance with contract specifications.
• Manages the production at vendor locations ensuring project quality, creative intent, specific conformance and schedule accuracy through installation.
• Develops and oversees project schedules and budgetary demands.
• Oversees the Universal Creative Directive of Final Acceptance (DFA) process for all contracts written.
• Understand and actively participate in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy, procedures, training and team member involvement activities.

Qualifications

• Strong project management experience, with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
• Experience building and maintaining relationships with external vendors and suppliers.
• Understanding of signage, printing and fabrication processes, ideally including coordination from concept through to installation.
• Comfortable managing timelines, deliverables, approvals and vendor expectations.
• Some graphic design experience or knowledge would be beneficial, but is not essential.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Able to work collaboratively across creative, operational and project teams.
