Job summary

Pertemps is recruiting a Sign Designer / Print Production Specialist for a Weston-super-Mare based role. The position combines creative design with hands-on production, including large-format printing and finishing, in a busy sign manufacturing environment.

The role offers a permanent contract with a salary of £31,500–£35,000 per annum and standard Monday–Friday hours. An ASAP start is available for the right candidate.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in the sign manufacturing industry is essential.
• Experience operating large-format digital printers.
• Knowledge of print-finishing processes and sign production equipment.
• Experience preparing artwork for print and manufacture.
• Proficiency with Adobe Illustrator or similar design software.

Responsibilities

• Interact with customers to understand requirements and recommend signage solutions.
• Prepare quotations and calculate job costs with accuracy.
• Create and adapt artwork using Illustrator and other software.
• Prepare print-ready artwork for production and ensure accuracy.
• Operate large-format printers and related equipment to produce signs.
• Finish signs and printed products with appropriate materials and finishes.
• Manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• Collaborate with the team while taking initiative to move jobs forward.
