Job summary

NHS England is seeking a Security Advisor SIEM Engineering to support the CSOC, providing new and enhanced SIEM capabilities and deployments across the health system. You will deploy feeds, maintain data integrity, and collaborate with monitoring teams to improve cyber detection and automation.

The role emphasizes mentoring junior staff and implementing standards for design, development, testing, and documentation within the Cyber Security Operations Centre.

Responsibilities

• Deploy feeds from data sources into NHS England's SIEM and ensure data modelling compliance.
• Maintain the SIEM data feed infrastructure to deliver logs without data loss.
• Manage technical relationships during deployment and updates of data feeds.
• Develop and tune the SIEM configuration and its interfacing with SOC tooling.
• Collaborate with Cyber Monitoring to enhance detection and automation of security monitoring.
• Identify and deliver improvements to enrich SIEM capabilities.
• Investigate, troubleshoot and resolve CSOC tooling incidents.
• Mentor and coach junior staff within the Cyber Security Operations Centre.
