Job summary

Corps Security in Manchester is seeking a highly skilled SIA Licensed Security Officer to provide a secure environment on site. This role focuses on access control, inductions, and patrols across 36 hours per week with a 3-on/3-off schedule including day and night shifts.

You will work closely with site management, complete required paperwork, and maintain a professional presence while adhering to briefing and escalation procedures.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills with a strong customer focus.
• A valid SIA Front-Line License – essential.
• A valid SIA CCTV License – desirable.
• Confidence and ability to establish and maintain good working relationships at all levels.
• Ability to work to deadlines, multitasking and working under pressure.
• Excellent IT skills including Microsoft Office (Excel).
• Able to achieve vetting to BS7858 Standards.

Responsibilities

• Maintain site surveillance and carry out regular patrols.
• Brief visitors and contractors; sign in/out on site.
• Record deliveries and process paperwork per site procedures.
• Set and unset primary and secondary alarm systems for out-of-hours security.
• Comply with site waste management procedures.
• Complete daily occurrence logs, shift handovers and incident records.
• Follow Assignment Instructions, Risk Assessments and safety documents; advise on improvements.
• Maintain training records and ensure first aid and fire marshal training is up to date.
• Ensure SIA licence is clearly displayed at all times.
• Perform ad hoc duties as directed.
